For all of you Twitch streamers out-there who like to make a meaningful difference in the world by helping others in need, every now and then, there is a one-of-a-kind fundraising event on Extra-Life.org that lets you do just that.
This well-known and respected organization allows you to make a difference in the world by doing what you like doings best: playing video games as much as you can. You can participate from the comfort of your own home or from anywhere else you want. It doesn’t matter what part of the globe you are in. Anybody is more than welcome to join.
Extra Life starts whenever you want it to. In order to begin playing, all you have to do is find a date and time that best works with your schedule and put time before the event in order to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital that you end up selecting during your registration. Every participant gets a fundraising page, where all credit card donations may be made on. For any check or cash donations you receive, it will be your duty to submit them to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
You can start you own team. If you want, you can even sponsor a fellow participant. At the end of the day, everybody is there for the same reason, so why not support each other?
You can even break you game into two segments, as you will be playing a 24-hour marathon of Facebook games, poker on your phone, PS4 games, or etc. All games qualify for the Extra Life marathon. It doesn’t matter if you are not able to finish the entire 24-hour marathon at one shot, as you can make up the remaining hours at a later time that’s most convenient to you. What really matters here is that you raise money for this network. Rest assured that you will receive an IRS compliant tax receipt.
Extra-Life.org is asking each gamer to raise a minimum of $100.00 USD. If you get 10 people to donate $10.00 USD each, you can easily make the minimum requirement. It is quite easy. You can even maximize the impact of your donation by asking your employer if your company has a matching gift program.
When it comes to promotion, Extra-Life.org has a media kit that contains very nice promotional material so that you can reach as many people as possible.
If you register as a ‘Classic’ or ‘Platinum’ participant and raise up to $200.00 USD or more, you will receive a very cool T-shirt in the mail. One you pass this amount, you can expect to receive a congratulatory email with detailed instructions on how you can redeem your new threads.
As you can tell, raising money for a good cause has never been as much fun as this event idea being hosted by Extra-Life.org. To make your fundraising page a success, spread the word wherever you go.
